Recorded on June 10, 2014.
Speaker: Sarah MacCarthy, Sc.D., Global Health and Human Rights Fellow, University of Southern California | Postdoctoral Fellow, Brown University
Abstract:
Having lived in Swaziland, Egypt, and most recently in Brazil, these experiences define who I am and the work that I do. In the classroom, I draw from my personal background and professional expertise to create formative learning opportunities where students can thrive in a safe and challenging environment. I'll discuss the specific tools that I employ and highlight how my past and current research globally and locally provides a unique space to translate lessons from the classroom into action in the field.
